Thurs Aug 29 Patsy Cline: Tribute To An Icon - 5:30pm dinner. 7:30pm concert. In this concert, Rebecca Miner is Patsy Cline, singing her biggest hits from 1955 to 1963. Between numbers, Rebecca shares stories and letters from Patsy’s often difficult and ultimately tragic life. Through Rebecca’s performance one can hear how Patsy Cline’s strength and passion grew out of tragedy and came to color each song and decision in her much too short career. Rebecca is joined by a talented roster of musicians from Central New York: John Handzel on bass, Tim Baldwin on guitar and vocals, Joshua Dahlin on drums, Andy Box on keyboards and vocals, and George Newton on Pedal Steel, and E. E. Norris on vocals. Together with Rebecca, these fine musicians effectively take us into the sound recording studio or concert hall with them, where Patsy Cline is pouring her heart out to us! Concert goers have the pre-show option of dining in the View courtyard at 5:30, to make a complete evening of entertainment. For additonal information or to register please visit www.ViewArts.org
